A Village with a Long Tradition

Vigo Rendena, at 580 metres above sea level, is an ancient village in the lower Val Rendena that since 2016 has been part of the new municipality of Porte di Rendena. The village preserves intact the charm of a traditional mountain settlement, with its stone houses, wooden barns and fountains that mark the rhythm of the main streets.

What makes it unique

Vigo Rendena is one of the villages that best represents the historical identity of the valley. Its roots go back to the Middle Ages, when the village was already a centre of reference for the rural communities of Rendena. The traditional architecture is well preserved and strolling through its streets is like taking a journey through time to discover mountain peasant life.

Activities and experiences

Walks discovering rural architecture, hikes on the surrounding hillside trails with views over the Sarca valley, tasting of typical local products. The village is a starting point for walking or cycling itineraries connecting the villages of the lower Val Rendena. In winter, the proximity to ski lifts makes practising winter sports easy.

Useful information

Vigo Rendena is about 16 km from Pinzolo and 45 minutes from Madonna di Campiglio. The village is part of the Municipality of Porte di Rendena and has essential services.
