The trail

Orizzonti liberi - Itinerari della Grande Guerra is a hiking trail in the area of Tione di Trento, in the heart of the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. The trail reaches 2965m altitude, in a high alpine environment. A historic trail following the traces of World War I, through trenches, forts, and military positions.

Difficulty and tips

The trail is of moderate difficulty, suitable for hikers with basic fitness. Sure-footedness and proper footwear are required. Some sections may be more demanding. Recommended period: July to September, when the trail is snow-free. In spring and autumn residual snow patches may be present. Always check the weather forecast before departure and inquire about trail conditions.
