The Gateway to Val Genova
Carisolo, at 830 metres above sea level, is a charming mountain village located at the entrance to Val Genova, one of the most spectacular valleys in Trentino. The village preserves an authentic and intimate atmosphere, surrounded by chestnut woods and overlooked by the peaks of the Dolomiti di Brenta.
What makes it unique
The village is the prime starting point for reaching the famous Cascate del Nardis and the entire Val Genova. Not to be missed is the Church of Santo Stefano, adorned with fine Renaissance-school frescoes that bear witness to the cultural richness of these Alpine villages. The charming Parco del Castagneto, with centuries-old trees, offers pleasant walks in the shade of majestic chestnut trees.

Hikes in Val Genova to the waterfalls and alpine refuges, walks in the centuries-old chestnut grove, cultural visits to the frescoed church. In autumn, chestnut harvesting becomes an occasion for celebration. In winter, the ski slopes of Pinzolo and Madonna di Campiglio are easily reached. Local cuisine features specialities based on chestnuts and mountain dairy cheeses.

Carisolo is just 2 km from Pinzolo and about 17 minutes by car from Madonna di Campiglio. It is the obligatory starting point for anyone wishing to visit Val Genova.
