The Chapel of the Madonna del Mont, also known as the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows, stands in a panoramic position in the territory of Porte di Rendena. Dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows, the chapel is a place of Marian devotion linked to the tradition of hilltop sanctuaries, typical of Alpine communities who dedicated the highest and most evocative points of their territory to the Madonna.

The dual dedication tells of a devotion layered over time, where the cult of the Mountain Madonna merges with meditation on the Virgin's sorrows. The chapel offers a privileged viewpoint over Val Rendena, with its churches frescoed by the Baschenis and the Alpine landscape surrounding this land evangelised by Saint Vigilius.
